Richmond State Trooper Dies
Here's an update on the situation in Richmond, Virginia. We now know the name of the State Trooper who died in yesterday's shooting that took place at the Greyhound Bus Station. Trooper Chad Dermyer was 37 years old. He leaves behind a wife and two children. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
So many of our Law Enforcement have died already this year. Far to often the men and women who protect us on a daily basis are forgotten. We live in a naive state of just what they go through every day and many don't grasp the seriousness of those situations.
Let us remember our Law Enforcement Officer's are people too. They live and breathe just like you or I and have family, friends, co-workers. They carry with them not only the burdens that weigh the average person down but the responsibilities of keeping communities safe.
These people put their lives on the line so that you or I might live. They should be honored, respected.
