As soon as I walked into the front doors of The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City,, I knew I picked the right hotel for our vacation. This historical high rise was built in 1929 and the history of this place can be seen everywhere.
The Claridge Hotel 123 S Indiana Ave. Atlantic City, New Jersey
Black and white photos hung everywhere. The gold trim and deep purples carried you through time. It was no longer 2019. History lived here.
A place where you could dine in style....
Beach view at night...
One of the things I really like about this hotel was the park outside my window.
Brighton Park is kept well shaded by rows of trees. You could often see people sitting there listen to music, having a picnic with family and friend, or even just watching seagulls bath at the water fountain. Other fun things we learned was that bike rentals were just outside.
With the boardwalk just a few steps away.,during the evening you could take in a live show.
One of my favorite things to do was wake before the sunrise, hit the beach, and take photos.
The best advice I could give is get there by 8 a.m. because in July at 7 a.m. the temp is already on the rise 70's and that sun gets hot quick
Atlantic City Beach
What would a beach view be without sitting down and watching the waves breaks in the early morning hours. The staff at The Claridge Hotel were friendly, helpful, and always ready to help. Whether you were checking in, checking out, or getting directions someone always had a smile and greeted you with saying hello. I really felt relaxed.
Here's another helpful tip. If you are not having someone check your vehicle the self check parking area is right next to the hotel so pull around to the back and be sure to check into the hotel first before parking. Check in is around 3 p.m. and checking out is at 11 a.m.. Be sure to keep your parking stub in your vehicle where it can be seen. Remember to lock your doors and turn off the lights. Upon entering the building take the elevator to the second floor. From there you can get another elevator which will take you to your room.
I loved the feel of this old building especially at nighttime. It certainly had a haunting energy about it.
I give this place two thumbs up!
