Small Town Community gets Scare from Fake News

UPDATED: 8:45 P.M. Endicott Police Dept did look into the claim, which were unfounded. They are aware of the social media post, which prompted them to investigate. When you read the story, it will scare you. A small town community likes things quiet. But that wasn't the case this past Friday or was it...

Social Media Post Facebook #FakeNews

After reading the story a few red flags went up and that's when we went to work. We spoke with a Price Chopper manager and a CVS manager, even contacted local Police Dept to get to the bottom of this. Price Chopper manager, "I had no clue, never heard of it."

CVS manger, "It's the telephone game all over again. Yes, we have heard about it, but it did not happen in Endicott. It actually happened in Vestal, New York at a Burger King, a CVS workers keys were taken, there was no knife. The story has gotten way out of proportion it's that crazy. The only thing they got right about it was it happened late in the week." We have yet to hear back from local authorities, if anything changes we will keep you updated. This just goes to show you can't believe everything you read on social media.
