Area Flooding Continues

River Watch: Susquehanna River around 7 a.m. on April 6, 2017. View Point: The Susquehanna River lays between Village of Endicott and Vestal New York. Here, we are monitoring the ongoing flooding which is mild at this point but with more rain expected, this river has been known to flood.

Today, we find ourselves watching the river again.

Trail behind Union-Endicott High School. This area usually floods first.

Union-Endicott High School football field got flooded back in 2015.

Local Boys and Girls club in Endicott, New York. Here you can see conditions are already ripe for flooding. Another area which got flooded in 2015. We'll be monitoring these three areas until the threat goes away. Be sure to follow us on Twitter @wspickerman for any breaking news on the River Watch. Another area of concern but not so much as done by the Union-Endicott High School is this bridge that links the Village of Endicott with Vestal. This bridge also got flooded in 2015. This nowhere's near that threat level today but some flooding has started on the pathway under the bridge. Leveling only the flood wall between the Susquehanna River and a set of Apartment Buildings.

An all to familiar view as flood waters slowly rise over the rivers edge.

View from the bridge at the Susquehanna River. As you can see this flood wall is the only thing keeping the river at bay. No major threat here at this time.

View of the Susquehanna, even with the water rising it's still a beautiful shot.

Like back in 2015, I took these photos when the Susquehanna River flooded and evacuation took place.
